Building Model Adjustment Report

 

The main objective of the present report “D4.1 Building Model Adjustment Report” is to describe and explain the conclusions obtain after Task 4.8: Verification and adjustment of building model. The energy simulation software BCORE and the developed 3D post-processing tool were tested performing different trials, based on the pilot case. Several adjustments were carried out in order to optimize the tool to the end-user knowledge and requisites. Therefore, this report is necessarily based on deliverables “D1.1 Upgraded Building Model. Ready to be filled in with automatized measures” and mainly in “D1.3 3D Simulation Software Layer”.

 

This document highlights the need for an interface to visualize in a simple way the results obtained from the building energy simulation software BCORE based on TRNSYS. This report presents a short journey through its features and most notable functionalities for the user, such as the tools offered or its simple use. It also mentions the details related to the development of the application, the software and hardware used, the reading of data and other technical aspects.

 

The result is a 3D viewer with which to visualize and analyse the energy results of various constructions. Its most important feature is the ability to navigate simulations over time, being able to change the time step and make comparisons. That is, the user can perform different simulations for the same model, either in different periods of time or with a different configuration of variables. This facilitates the taking of more efficient measures for the use of energy.
